What is Co-creation Project?

While technological innovation brings about social and economic development, contemporary society faces various challenges posed by human beings, their surrounding social environment, and the natural environment. Humanities and social sciences, which explore meanings and values and offer diverse perspectives and ideas, are expected to make significant contributions to solving these issues.

In September 2020, Osaka University launched "the Project for Co-creating Knowledge in Humanities and Social Sciences," a commissioned project by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

This project aims to create new academic knowledge centered on humanities and social sciences. It establishes a co-creation platform where diverse researchers from humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, as well as practitioners from various sectors of society, come together to contemplate the future direction of society.
